The Ponds & beach

The park is open daily dawn until dusk.

Parking

Parking is allowed on the shoulder of the main road and in parking spaces located around the pond. Please do not drive in the grass or mud.

Restrooms

Public restrooms are located at the multipurpose soccer field complex. Directional signs to this building are located throughout the park.

Trash

Do not litter or leave personal belongings in the park. Please take your trash with you. Orange trash bins are located throughout the park for public use.

Pits & Fires

The use of a charcoal/propane grills, burners, camp fires are prohibited on park grounds.

Fishing

There is no fee to fish in the BCSP.
Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) fishing regulations apply. A fishing license is required for individuals ages 16 and over.
The ponds are stocked with fish by TPCG and the LDWF Get Out and Fish program. Currently, the large pond is stocked with largemouth bass, bluegill, channel catfish, and rainbow trout (winter only, limit 5). The smaller pond is stocked with bluegill. Individuals are allowed to keep their catch.
Four docks are available for public use. Parking and ADA pathways are available to access fishing docks.
Beware of dangerous wildlife. Alligators and snakes may be in the area.

The Beach

There is no lifeguard on duty. Please enter the water at your own risk.
No swimming allowed. Do not enter the water past the buoy line.

Help keep our beach beautiful. Please leave no trace by taking with you anything you bring and fill any holes when you leave.
No glass containers or breakable objects allowed.
No smoking, drugs or alcohol allowed.

Boating

Boats with electric motors and boats without motors are allowed in the ponds such as canoes, kayaks and paddle boats.
Boat rental is not available at this time.
Lifejackets shall be worn at all times while on the water.
